I am finding that life gets exciting around 8 months old. I have been accomplishing so many new things lately. Sitting up so well is giving me a brand new perspective on the world. I can sit in highchairs at restaurants, face forward in my stroller, and sit next to Gracie in the shopping cart at the grocery store. This may not seem like much to you adults, but it is just amazing to me, and I am overjoyed.
On my first day helping Gracie drive the shopping cart, I laughed and squealed almost the entire time. Gracie was a little less enthusiastic about sharing the wheel, but she got used to it within a few aisles.
On the other hand, Gracie is quite pleased with my new ability to sit-up in the bathtub so I can splash around with her. She loves to turn on the bubble machine, and to help me wash my hair. Just last night, I found out the hard way that I should not make little presents in the tub when sharing a bath. Nobody appreciates that. "Oh Nooooo, Baby!" said my sister. Oops.
Still no teeth, but my hair just had a growth spurt. I'll disclose my height and weight next month, but I am clearly still growing strong. I am determined that I will be moving across the house at top speeds in the near future. I'm just having a hard time keeping my knees under me. I am trying a new style of crawling, on my hands and toes, like doing a moving push-up. Maybe it will catch-on. Here's a look at my progress, but you may want to wear your earplugs, as I do vocalize my frustrations:
